3 inter-district thieves held

Three members of the inter-district gang, including a woman, have been arrested by the Bhangura Police Station on the charge of goat theft.

They are Rubel Hossain (34), Jewel Hossain (30), and Rokeya Khatun (45). All three of them are residents of Sirajganj suburb.

The incident took place in Ashtomanisha village of the upazila on Wednesday.

Police seized a goat and a CNG carried by the thieves from the spot.

Md Rashidul Islam, officer-in-charge of Bhangura police station said that the arrested persons are members of the inter-district thief gang.

They captured a goat riding on the Ashtamanisha High School grounds.

Later, when the goat was taken to the CNG, local people suspected them. When the matter became known, they were first beaten up.
