BD-Afghans 2nd FIFA Int’l Friendly today

The motivated Bangladesh Football team will take on Afghanistan Football team in their second FIFA International Friendly match at the Bashundhara Kings Arena in Dhaka City today.

The match will kick-off at 5.00pm (Bangladesh Standard Time).

Private satellite sports channel T Sports will telecast the match live from the big bowl.

Earlier, Bangladesh played a goalless draw with Afghanistan in the first FIFA International Friendly match at the same venue on September 3.

According to the latest FIFA rankings, Bangladesh have taken the 189th position, while Afghanistan have attained 157th position.

Before today’s match, Bangladesh and Afghanistan faced each other in seven occasions.

Of them, Afghanistan won two matches, while rest of the five games ended in a draw.

Earlier, in the first FIFA International Friendly match, Bangladesh got a good number of opportunities to score but the forwards and midfielder failed to convert those into goals.

Head Coach of Bangladesh Football team Javier Cabrera worked with the players of the offence to come out from the mistakes. They took part in their practice session at a city venue on Tuesday.

Assistant Coach of Bangladesh Football team Hasan Al Mamun said, ” We played in the last match to follow a system.

We earned respect from our opponents.

We have tried to come out from our mistakes.

I hope our boys will not do the mistakes again.

I hope they will perform well in the tomorrow’s match.

We now know how to fight against our opponents.”
