Three more die of dengue, 357 infected in Barishal division

A total of three people died and other 357 were infected by dengue and admitted in public hospitals of Barishal division in last twenty-four hours till September 04, 2023.

Health department sources said with these total 48 people who died of dengue in the last one month in Barishal division and 968 patients are under treatment in different hospitals of the division.

The three dead patients are Aleya Begum, 50, of Lebukhali under Dumki upazila of Patuakhali, Helena Begum,50, of Bakerganj upazila of Barishal died at Sher E Bangla Medical College Hospital died at Barishal and Asma Begum,30, of nesarabad upazila of Pirojpur district died at Pirojpur general hospital.

Out of dead 48 dengue patients 32 died in Barishal, 1 in Patuakhali, 4 in Barguna, 4 in Pirojpur, 7 in Bhola districts.

The matter was confirmed by Shyamal Krishna Mandal, deputy director of the Department of Health, Barishal Divisional Office.
