Litton Das set to leave Dhaka

Prolific wicketkeeper-batter Litton Das is set to leave Dhaka on Monday night for Pakistan to join the Bangladesh Cricket squad.

Bangladesh confirmed their ‘Super Four’ berth of Asian Cricket Council (ACC) Asia Cup on Sunday night after defeating Afghanistan by 89 runs in their second Group-B match at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.

Litton Das could not take part in the Group-B matches as he had been suffering from fever. Now Litton Das is totally okay.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) sent promising opener Anamul Haque Bijoy as the replacement of Litton Das.

Chief Selector of the BCB Minhajul Abedin Nannu said, ” If Litton Das recovery from illness, we shall send him at the venue for take part in the ‘Super Four’ phase of Asia Cup. As Litton Das is going to join Bangladesh squad, strength of Bangladesh Cricket team will be more stronger.

Nannu said, ” Litton is now totally okay. We discussed about his inclusion in Bangladesh squad. There is some injury concern in Bangladesh squad. So, if we send him, it will be helpful for Bangladesh team.”

Earlier, the BCB issued a press release.

In that press release, they disclosed that Litton Das has been ruled out from the squad.

So, it included Anamul Haque as the replacement of Litton Das. Anamul Haque is now staying with Bangladesh Cricket squad.

Anamul Haque played against Afghanistan on Sunday last as a substitute player.
