BD Girls’ team beat Pakistan, BD Boys’ team defeat Nepal

Bangladesh Girls’ team beat Pakistan Girls’ team by 3-0 sets in the Team’s Event of the Asian Junior Table Tennis (TT) Championships in South Korea on Sunday.

Shoma of Bangladesh won the first set by 3-2 against Pakistan and then, her compatriot Sadia clinched the second set against Pakistan by 3-1 and their compatriot Khai Khai Marma won the third set against Pakistan by 3-1 sets.

It may be mentioned that Khai Khai Marma is the defending champion in the Girls’ Event of Bangladesh Youth Games, which concluded recently.

Bangladesh Boys’ team defeated Nepal Boys’ team by 3-1 sets in the Team’s Event on the same day.

Hridoy of Bangladesh won the first set against Nepal, while his compatriot Ramhim clinched the second set against Nepal.

But Nafis lost to his Nepalese opponent by 2-3 sets after giving a tight tussle against his challenger.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh Boys’ team lost to Kazakhstan Boys’ team by 0-3 sets in the Team’s Event on the same day.

Hridoy lost to his Kazkhstan opponent 2-3 sets and Ramhim was beaten to his Kazakhstan opponent in the second set after giving a close fight.

Their other compatriot was also beaten to his Kazakhstan opponent.

It is noteworthy that Bangladesh’s ranking is 106, while Kazakhstan’s ranking is 30 and Nepal’s ranking is 81.

Kyrgyzstan’s ranking is also 81.
