Dengue increasing in Sylhet

Dengue outbreak is increasing day by day in Sylhet. An average of 16 people were suffering from dengue every day in August in this Department. On the 27th day of August, the number of infected people was 439.

And in the current season, this number has reached 885 people. This information is known from the sources of the Department of Health.

According to sources, 6 new dengue patients have been admitted to the hospital in Sylhet division in the last 24 hours.

However, no one has died of dengue in this Department so far.

Currently, a total of 80 dengue patients are admitted in various hospitals in Sylhet.

Among them 39 in various hospitals in Sylhet, 2 in Sunamganj, 35 in Habiganj and 4 in Moulvibazar.

Meanwhile, 8 dengue patients have recovered and returned home in the last 24 hours. Since the beginning of the year, a total of 805 dengue patients have recovered and returned home.

According to the Sylhet divisional office of the Directorate of Health, 3 dengue patients were identified in Sylhet in January this year. Later, 1 person was identified in April and 1 person in May.

However, the number of dengue patients suddenly increased in Sylhet. 59 people were infected in June and 382 in July.

Till August 27, 439 people have been infected in Sylhet division.
