‘US delegation keen on energy, power, aviation sector’

Foreign Minister Dr. A K Abdul Momen hosted a prestigious business delegation from the United States at the State Guest House Padma on Wednesday.
The delegation, led by Chairman Kobos of the US Bangladesh Business Council and Ambassador Atul Keshap, comprised top executives representing a diverse range of sectors including energy, power, equity, aviation, agriculture, food processing, healthcare, and more, Foreign Ministry said in a press release on Friday.
During the meeting, both sides engaged in discussions on the long-term possibilities and prospects for business collaboration between the two nations.
They deliberated on the mid-term measures required to fully harness the immense potential within these sectors.
Among the topics of conversation was the potential for trade, investment, and technology transfers over the next two years.
The discussion also revolved around the idea of fostering a stronger sub-regional growth trajectory and harnessing the economic opportunities offered by the Bay of Bengal region.
This meeting signifies a significant step towards further strengthening trade ties and economic cooperation between Bangladesh and the United States.
It underscores the commitment of both nations to explore and leverage the vast potential for mutual economic growth and collaboration in various sectors.
State Minister for Foreign Affairs Md. Shahriar Alam was also present in the meeting.
