Logo & trophy unveiling ceremony of Bangabandhu Int’l Beach Volleyball held

The logo & trophy unveiling ceremony of Bangabandhu International Beach Volleyball Competitions was held at the conference room of Dhaka North City Corporation Office in the city’s Gulshan on Friday.

President of Bangladesh Volleyball Federation (BVF) and Mayor of the Dhaka North City Corporation Md Atiqul Islam, Vice-President of the BVF Khosru Chowdhury, Vice-President of the BVF Md Younus, General Secretary of the BVF Ashiqur Rahman Miku, Joint-Secretary of the Federation Advocate Fazle Rabbi Babul and the other representatives of the sponsor organistations took part in the programme in front of a good number of newsmen.

Two volleyball competitions will be held at the Cox’s Bazar Kalatali Sea Beach respectively.

Bangladesh Volleyball Federation will arrange the volleyball meets.

Hosts Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, Maldives will take part in the Men’s Group of the Bangabandhu AVC Beach Volleyball Continental Cup, while Bangladesh, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan will participate in the Women’s Group of that Competition.

The competition will be held from September 8 to September 11.

Salman F Rahman, MP, Advisor to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, will be the chief guest at the opening ceremony, while State Minister for Youth and Sports Zahid Ahsan Russel, MP, will be the chief guest of the closing ceremony.

Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives will take part in the Men’s Group of the Bangabandhu CAVA Beach Volleyball Tournament, while Bangladesh, India, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Uzbekistan will compete in the Women’s Group of that meet.

The competition will be held from September 13 to September 15.

Shaimum Sarwar Kamal, MP, will be the chief guest at the inaugural ceremony, while Deputy Commissioner of Cox’s Bazar District Muhammad Shaheen Imran will be the chief guest at the closing ceremony.
