Renowned politician Abdul Jabbar remembered

A memorial meeting was held on alegandary politician Abdul Jabbar, former (Acting) President of Central Farmers League, former Member of Parliament and Upazila Parishad Chairman of Kulaura, lifetime general secretary of Upazila Awami League and organizer of the Liberation War on the occasion of 31st death anniversary at Zilla Parishad Auditorium in Kulaura, Moulvibazar on Sunday.

Among others, Civil Aviation and Tourism Ministry of State Minister Advocate Mahbub Ali MP spoke as the chief guest in the organized commemoration meeting.

Prime Ministers Protocol Officer-2 and late Abdul Jabbar’s son said in the memorial meeting organized by Abdul Jabbar Foundation.

Under the chairmanship of Abu Jafar Raju and the general secretary of Upazila Awami League ASM Kamrul Islam, the special guest speech was given by the former organizing secretary of the central Awami League Ad. Misbah Uddin Siraj, former member of Central Awami League and Chairman of Kamalganj Upazila Parishad Professor Rafiqur Rahman, Managing Director of Alila Group Mohammad Zillur Rahman, Acting Chairman of Kulaura Upazila Parishad Maulana Fazlul Haque Khan Saheed, Additional Superintendent of Police Md Ajmal Hossain, Upazila Awami League Vice President Arobindu Ghosh Bindu And Shafiul Alam Shafi, Organizing Secretary Mamdud Hossain, BRDB Chairman Fazlul Haque Fazlu, Kamardha Union Parishad.

Chairman Muhibul Islam Azad, General Secretary of Upazila Jubo League Moinul Islam Sobuj, General Secretary of Business Welfare Association Md. Atiqur Rahman Akhoi, Enamul Haque Mifta, President of the Sechhasebok League and others.

At the beginning of the programme, one minute silence was observed to pay respect to the memory of all the martyrs who died in the country liberation war, including Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, late Abdul Jabbar and all the members of Bangabandhu’s family who died on August 15, 1975.
