One held with 37 kg hemp in Kishoreganj

The Detective Branch (DB) has arrested a drug dealer named Shahjahan Miah (50) along with 37 kg of hemps in a raid at Kishoreganj ‘s Binnatti Bazar area on Bhairab – Mymensingh regional highway early Saturday.

The accused is the son of late Md. Abdur Razzak in Akhaura of Brahmanbaria.

Additional SP (Crime & Ops) Md. Al-Amin said that a search of Shahjahan pickup van turned up with 37 kg of hemp hidden inside the front cabin.

Accused Shahjahan initially said that he had been buying and selling hemp in different areas of kishoreganj., Mymensingh. for a long time.

A case was filed under drug section with Kishoreganj Model Police Station in this connection, OC Md.Dadud said.
