Nurse killed in road accident

A nurse named Rozina Akhter Rozi (37) was killed in a motorcycle accident on her way to the hospital at Ishwardi Girls High School and College Intersection on Airport Road on Thursday.

It is known that Rozina Akhter was the daughter of Afzal Malitha of Arambaria village in Sara union and was a senior nurse at Alo General Hospital in the city.

Suman Ali, manager of Alo General Hospital, said that the hospital staff went to bring Rozina from her house on a motorcycle as Solaiman Hossain’s wife was in labour.

On the way to bring the motorcycle, it lost control and collided with an electric pole.

Rosina died on the spot and Solaiman was injured.

Ishwardi Upazila Health Complex doctor Asma Khan said that Rozina Akhter died before being brought to the hospital.

Solaiman Hossain has been sent to Rajshahi.

Ishwardi Police Station OC (Investigation) Hashan Basi confirmed the incident.
