‘Bangabandhu worked his whole life for deprived people’

Former Vice-Chancellor of Dhaka University Professor Dr AK Azad Chowdhury on Friday said Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman worked his whole life for the deprived people and country.

“Bangabandhu loved country’s people more than his family members,” Azad Chowdhury told a discussion on ‘Bangabandhu’s development think’ as the chief guest.

Education Research and Development Forum of Bangladesh (ERDFB) organised the discussion with President of the organization Prof Dr Mohammed Sazzad Hossain in the chair, reports BSS.

The function was addressed, among others, by Economist Dr Kazi Khaliquzzaman Ahmed, Prof Dr Selina Akter, Prof Dr Farzana Islam, Prof Dr M Ohiduzzaman and Prof Dr Abdul Jabbar Khan.

General Secretary of the organization Prof Dr Md Badruzzaman Bhuiyan moderated it.

Prof Dr AK Azad Chowdhury, former chairman of University Grants Commission (UGC), said Bangabandhu did not bow down to any evil force and any greed rather he worked for country’s education system, agriculture, health, communication and women rights.
