He has conveyed that he will refrain from revealing any details unless granted permission by the concerned parties.
“I went there on the invitation of the Indian government.
There were open discussions with several important persons and I can’t say in detail about whom or what the discussion was about.
Because that’s talks happened like the way.
I can’t say anything without their permission.
But if they want can publish something, However, issues of mutual interest have also been discussed,” GM Quader said while responding to questions from reporters at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Wednesday evening after wrapping up his three-day tour from India.
Mentioning out that India has a good idea about JaPa, he said that he felt happy after hearing that they have a good idea about Jatiya Party.
“They consider JaPa as a potential party.
They are confident that their relationship with the Jatiya Party was cordial and will always remain so,” he added.
JaPa Chairman also said that there was not much discussion about the politics of Bangladesh, but they want to see a free and fair election.
“India wants to see Bangladesh’s election to be held in proper time.
India believes that there will be no violence or uncertainty in the lives of common people before and after the election. If so, they will be happy.
Because, India has various investments in Bangladesh,” GM Quader said.
The JaPa Chairman also said that India hopes that continuation of their invested projects will be easy if there is a good relationship with Bangladesh, if Bangladesh is stable.
“If the next government is formed through fair elections, then it will be easy for them to do their jobs smoothly.
They hope that everyone should create such an environment, so that a free and fair election is held. There should be no violence and anarchy in the elections,” he said.
When asked if India has said anything about the differences between the political parties on the electoral system, GM Quader replied, “No, India has said it is your own business.
India said they want to resolve the differences through dialogue by ourselves.”
When asked what will be the role of Jatiya Party in the next election, he said, “We will take a decision after some more time.”
In response to a query regarding the notification of the announcement of JaPa Chairma Raushan Ershad, GM Quader said, “We looked upon my elder brother as a father. Similarly, we have seen Bhabi (Raushan Ershad) like a mother since my childhood. I never had a conflict with her and still don’t.”
