3 awarded life-term in C’nawabganj

A Chapainawabganj court on Tuesday afternoon sentenced three persons to life-term imprisonment and also fined each of them of Taka 1,00,000,in default, two years more to suffer in jail.

The convicted persons were Abdul Alim, 21, son of late Samij Uddin of Tantipara village under Bholahat upazila, Heera alias Hero alias Prince Khan, 32, son of Yunus Ali of Rohonpur Borobazar under Gomostapur upazila and Rocky alias Rocky Biswas, 30, son of Rafiq Biswas of Rahmatpara Khoar More under Gomostapur upazila in the district.

Senior Session Judge of Chapainawabganj Md Adeeb Ali gave this verdict in presence of the convicts.

According to the prosecution story, acting on a tip of, an operation team of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-5 conducted a raid at Boalia Bazar Road in Gomostapur upazila in the district on December 2, 2019 and detained an easybike and arrested Alim with 10- kg heroin.
