BSMMU starts admitting patients at super specialised hospital

Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University’s (BSMMU) super specialised hospital started to admit patients in cabin.

BSMMU’s Vice-Chancellor Dr Md Sharfuddin Ahamed inaugurated the patients admitting activities on Tuesday.

At the same time, the VC also visited the activities of cardiovascular and stroke centres angiogram.

During the inauguration, VC Dr Sharfudding said super specialised hospital will provide world class treatment and the people of Bangladesh will not require to go abroad for medical purposes.

Most of our cancer, heart and liver patients go abroad for higher treatment. Now super specialised hospital will ensure improved treatment for the sick people, he added.

Dr Sharfuddin said in near future the facilities like hair implant, stem cell therapy, eliminating infertility as well as pediatric cardiology will be available here.

The teams of super specialised hospital are different from other. The team of doctors, nurses and officials are specially trained which will reflect their service and behaviour, he added.

Explaining one of the characteristics of the super specialised hospital, the VC said the doctor will spend minimum ten minutes to see each patientand a doctor will visit no more 20 patients in a day.

He said the return of patients’ satisfaction over BSMMU’s super specialised hospital is very high rated as they are waiting for getting treatment from early morning.

The doctors of super specialised hospital are treating the patients by calling ‘Ma’ (Mother), ‘Baba’ (Father) and listened their problems with patience, he further said.
