Bangabandhu Parishad organized a discussion at Pani Bhaban auditorium in the city’s Panthapath area at 4pm recently marking the 48th martyrdom anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the National Mourning Day.

Bangabandhu Parishad President Professor Dr AAMS Arefin Sidique chaired the discussion titled ‘We want international inquiry into the assassination of Bangabandhu along with his family members’.

Agriculture Minister Dr Abdur Razzaque, Planning Minister MA Mannan, State Minister for Water Resources Zaheed Farooque, Bangabandhu Parishad Presidium Member Shafiqur Rahman, MP, eminent security analyst and columnist valiant freedom fighter Major General (Retd) Mohammad Ali Shikder, and Dean of Dhaka University (DU) Fine Arts Faculty and Bangabandhu Parishad Presidium Member Professor Nisar Hossain were present at the discussion as guests of honor.

Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal
Leaders of Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal said the killings of Bangabandhu and his family members are the tragic and stigmatizing incident in the national history.In a statement issued recently, President of JSD Hasanul Haq Inu and General Secretary Shirin Akhtar said Bangabandhu’s assassination was a well-planned and brutal incident, reports BSS.

As part of revenge, the anti-liberation forces had killed Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman along with his family members, they added.
