Ebadot ruled out of Asia Cup

Tiger pacer Ebadot Hossain has been ruled out of the upcoming Asia Cup, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) selector Minhajul Abedin Nannu confirmed the matter on Monday.

The right-arm pace bowler is yet to fully recover from the injury sustained in the recent Afghanistan series.

Shakib Al Hasan will lead Bangladesh’s 17-member squad for the Asia Cup 2023, beginning 30th August.

Tanzim Hasan Sakib was named as the stand-by players alongside Saif Hasan and Taijul Islam for the Asia Cup.

BCB selector said Sakib or Khaled Ahmed, who joined the team in the practice session yesterday, will be included as replacement.
