Road name after Harsh Vardhan Shringla built at Bakeganj

A road has been made at Bakerganj upazila under Barisal District on the name of Harsh Vardhan Shringla who was Indian High commissioner during Bangladesh liberation war came to visit this area after killing 360 people of the local minority community of Barisal’s Bakerganj upazila in brushfire by the Pakistani forces on November 14, 1971.
The road has been built to keep the memory of the visit of Shringla and to remember and to pay respect to those 360 people.
The three kilometers long road was built with government funding.
Jatiya Party (JPA) Co-Chairman ABM Ruhul Amin Howlader and his wife and local MP Ratana Amin Howladar took the initiative to build the road and name it after Horse Bardhan.
