Dialogue on civic expectations with youth participation in Rangpur

A dialogue on civic expectations was held in Rangpur with the participation of youth.

The dialogue was organized at the Six Seasons Convention Center in the city on Wednesday under the ‘Stranding Political Landscape’ project conducted by Democracy International with the assistance of USAID.

In this event, the youth expressed their well-thought-out views on the various problems of Rangpur city and their possible solutions.

MAF President Sahida Rahman Jonsa, General Secretary SM Yasir, MAF Senior Vice President Shah Nabiullah Panna, MAF Vice President Ira Haque, MAF Joint Secretary Abdullah Khan Nannu, MAF Organizing Secretary Jasmine Akhtar, MAF Publicity Secretary Mr. Arif Ali MAF Member Al Amin, MAF Member Rabiul Islam, MAF Member Yasin Arafat Asif, MAF Member Jinnat Hossain Lovelu, Carmichael College Retired Teacher Professor Shah Alam, Sujan Rangpur Metropolitan President Khandkar Fakhrul Anam Benju, Director of KS Training Consultancy Firm Nurunnabi Babul and others were present.

The participants gave well-thought-out views in their discussions.

In the dialogue, the participants discussed the following issues and gave their views: problems faced by women, children and youth today, recommendations on how to make the city women-friendly, child-friendly and youth-friendly.

Current problems faced by citizens in accessing citizen services, suggestions for stakeholders to improve the quality of citizen services.

Md. Ali Izad, Senior Regional Manager of Democracy International, Rangpur region gave the welcome speech and conducted the program and the Rangpur Region Officer of Democracy International, Mortuza Akhtar Jahan and Operation Assistant Omar Farooq assisted in the management of the event.

Some 50 people were participated in it.

The participants were divided into five groups and presented various civic problems and their solutions.
