School girl commits suicide

A school girl named Sumaiya Khatun (11) committed suicide by hanging herself in Baraigram upazila of Natore.

The incident took place in Arazi Bhabanipur village of the upazila on Tuesday afternoon.

The deceased Sumaiya Khatun was the daughter of Azirul Islam of that village and student of class 5 of Katashkol Government Primary School.

Additional Superintendent of Police (Baraigram Circle) Sharif Al Rajeeb and Baraigram Police Station Officer-in-Charge Abu Siddique visited the spot after receiving the information.

Ali Akbar, Chairman of local Juaria Union Parishad said that in the afternoon, Sumaiya Khatun and her younger brother Hriday (7) were playing in the courtyard of the house.
