Planting trees to keep ecological balance stressed

State Minister for Social Welfare Ashraf Ali Khan Khasru on Wednesday called for planting more saplings of fruit-bearing, timber and herbal trees to keep ecological balance, protecting bio-diversity and meeting the demand of nutrition and wood.

“Let us plant more saplings of fruit-bearing, timber and medicinal trees with a view to maintain balance of the environment and preserve the bio-diversity and meet the demand of nutrition and wood,” he said, reports BSS.

The State Minister made the call while inaugurating a week-long tree fair- 2023 at Netrakona Old Collectorate office premises as the chief guest.
