5 of a family killed in Keraniganj godown fire

Gutted belongings are seen, as a fire that broke out at a house adjacent to chemical godown in Keraniganj on Tuesday leaving five of a family chared to death.

Five people, including a minor child, were killed and several other inured in a fire that broke out at a godown in the city’s Keraniganj on Tuesday morning.
The victims have been identified as Jesmin Akter, 30, Mina Akhter, 22, and her daughter Taiyeba, 2.
The fire broke out around 3:30am, according to locals.
Mamunur Or-Rashid, officer-in-charge of Keraniganj model police station, said: “We went to the spot after receiving information about the fire in the chemical godown.”
He also said that three people including a child, were killed in this incident.
Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) police
camp in-charge inspector Md. Bachchu Mia said three people are taking treatment at Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery and burn unit.
Besides, three others injured are undergoing treatment at the hospital.
They are – Mohammad Saeed (25), Sohag (22) and Roza Moni (5).
