Hasaranga retires from Test cricket

Sri Lanka all-rounder Wanindu Hasaranga announced on Tuesday to retire from Test cricket to prolong his career in white-ball format.

The 26-year-old appeared in four Test matches.

His last match was against Bangladesh at home in 2021.

“We will accept his decision and are confident that Hasaranga will be a vital part of our white-ball program going forward,” Ashley De Silva, CEO of Sri Lanka Cricket said in a statement.

The leggie has represented the Island nation in 48 ODIs and 58 T20I games so far.
