5 held for robbery in train at Tongi

Members of elite force Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-1) arrested five people on charge of attacking a train and snatching valuables from its passengers at Tongi Railway Station of Gazipur on Thursday night.

The five were held in separate drives from Gazipur’s Tongi and capital’s Abdullahpur with local weapons in their possession .

RAB-1 Senior Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Parvez Rana confirmed the matter on Saturday morning.

The arrestees have been identified as Ripon Mia, Ramjan Hossain, Ayman, Asif Dewan and Arman Chowdhury.
