Book ‘Effective Public Speaking & Presentation’ unveiled

The unveiling ceremony of the book ‘Effective Public Speaking & Presentation’ written by Dr Syed Naquib Muslim, a former Secretary, was held on August 12 in 2023, Saturday, at the Reading Cafe bookstore at Banani in Dhaka.

Janibul Huq, a Former CSP and also the Chairman of the Bangladesh Society for Training & Development (BSTD), addressed the program as chief guest.

More books written by Dr Naquib include ‘The Art of Modern Administration’, ‘Standard English : Speaking and Writing’, ‘Writing Elegant English’, ‘Professional and Academic Writing’, ‘ Co-ordination: The Core of Administrative Leadership’, ‘SMART English’.

He joined as a BCS admin cadre in 1981.

Dr Naquib was Thana Nirbahi Officer (TNO) of Tangail Sadar, and Additional Deputy Commissioner in Rajshahi.

He also worked as a Director of Bangladesh Public Administration Training Centre (BPATC), Savar, Dhaka.

In 2002 he was appointed Deputy Commissioner of Dhaka.
He became Additional Secretary in 2006, and had been working in the Ministry of Agriculture until he became Secretary to the GoB.

Later, he was appointed Chairman of the Bangladesh Tariff Commission.
