Risky buildings must be demolished: RAJUK Chairman

Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (RAJUK) Chairman Md. Anisur Rahman Mian on Thursday said the risky buildings in the capital must be demolished.

“If anyone has objection about our findings of any building as a risky one, the concern persons have to prove that we are wrong through adequate tests,” the RAJUK Chairman said it while addressing a seminar titled ‘Medias role in curbing risk on development of urban areas’, held at the National Institute of Mass Communication (NIMC) in the capital.

The RAJUK Chairman said the media has a great role in decreasing risk factors of urbanisation. The media can point out the faults of development work and such others as well it can create awareness among the mass people properly, Anisur Rahman said.

NIMC Director Fayzul Haque presided over the event while, Professor Dr. Md. Aktar Mahmud of Jahangirnogor University, Dainik Kalbela Editor Shantosh Shorma, former Secretary Satyabroto Saha and Amitosh Paul, President of Nogor Unnayon Sangbadik Forum, among others spoke at the event.
