Cheques distributed among patients in C’nawabganj

District Social Service Department distributed cheques of Tk 17 lakh among 34 patients with chronic diseases in the district on Thursday.

Deputy Director of the Social Work Department Umme Kulsum and medical officer of the civil surgeon's office Dr. Rakibul Islam spoke on the occasion.

It was disclosed in the function that a total of 193 such patients in which 35 in sadar upazila, 63 in Shibganj upazila, 34 in Chapainawabganj municipality, 28 in Gomostapur upazila, 19 in Nachole upazila and 14 in Bholahat upazila are getting the aids.

A total amount of Tk. 96,50,000 would be distributed among 84 cancer patients, seven kidney patients, one liver cirrhosis patient, 25 stroke-paralised patients, 45 born heart disease patients and 31 thalassemia patients in the district, it was further disclosed.
