Who will be the replacement of Tamim?

Captain of Bangladesh ODI Cricket team Tamim Iqbal stepped down from captaincy on Thursday last. He will not take part in the upcoming Asia Cup as he has been suffering from pain in his back side. So, there is a question arisen that who will be the replacement of dashing opener Tamim Iqbal. There is a vacant in Bangladesh Cricket team as the southpaw opener will not play in the forthcoming Asia Cup. Thus, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has to choose an opener instead of left-hand 34-year old experienced and highly qualified opener. Prolific Litton Das will open for Bangladesh Cricket team in the forthcoming Asia Cup. But a question is arisen who will give him accompany as an other opener. There is a rumour that Naim Sheikh can be the replacement of Tamim Iqbal as an opener. Naim Sheikh had almost an average of 50 and his trikerate was above 87 in the domestic cricket competitions.
Promising Tanzid Hasan Tamim is also one of the candidates for the position of dashing opener Tamim Iqbal. Tanzid Hasan Tamim took part for Bangladesh A Cricket team in the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) Men’s Emerging Teams Asia Cup which concluded recently in Sri Lanka. Tanzid showed a spectacular performance in that tournament. He scored 179 runs playing four matches. He shone with the willow and he showed a consistent performance. Tanzid has a dream to play for Bangladesh National Cricket team.
Promising Rony Talukdar played one game of the two-match Twenty20 International (T20I) series. He could not cut a brilliant figure in that match. Besides, he made his debut against Ireland in an ODI match. But he scored only four runs. But Rony Talukdar showed a satisfactory performance in BPL. His average was 26.32 and his strikerate was above 78.

Soumya Sarkar recently took part in the ACC Men’s Emerging Teams Asia Cup. But he failed show a rhythmic performance. But he has experience to play in the big tournament. So, Soumya Sarkar is also one of the candidates to play in the opening position.
