Hasan mourns death of journo Azad Talukder

Information and Broadcasting Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud on Wednesday expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of renowned journalist Azad Talukder, Editor of ‘Ekushey Patrika, a popular online Bangla news portal based in Chattogram.

In a condolence message, the minister conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members and prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul. The journalist had been suffering from deadly cancer and died early this morning at the age of 45 . He breathed his last while undergoing treatment at a city hospital here , said an official release.

“His premature death is very much painful…he [Azad] will be remembered in the field of journalism in Chattogram for long”, the condolence message mentioned, adding “Azad Talukder was a fearless and dedicated journalist.”
