7 held in connection with Saiful murder case

Killer Rajan involved in drug trade in South Keraniganj area of Dhaka.He was arrested on June 28.He thought that businessman Saiful was behind his arrest.He planned to kill Saiful after getting out of jail on bail.
Saiful was recently planning to visit a western country for better future. Because of this, 10-12 including Jane Alam, Suman, Liton, Dipu, Sarwar and Sajeeb led by Rajan planned to kill Saiful. On July 30 while Saiful was returning home from his shop at night, the killers attacked him on Khajur Bagh School Road. The gang led by mastermind Rajan barricaded the victim Saiful and brutally hit him on the head and body with cricket bats, batons, iron rods and other native weapons.

Rajan took a fork from a nearby shop and brutally gouged out Saiful’s eyes when he fell to the ground. When the locals came forward on Saiful’s screams, the assailants fled leaving him seriously injured.Locals rescued the victim and took him to a government hospital in the capital where the duty doctor declared him dead.
This information was given by RAB after the arrest of seven people directly involved in the murder of businessman Saiful Islam in South Keraniganj of the capital, including the mastermind Rajan, from the Shahbagh area of the capital on Monday night.

In a press conference at RAB Media Center in Karwan Bazar of the capital on Tuesday, Commander Khandaker Al Moin, director of Legal and Media Wing, said that on the night of July 30, a clothing merchant named Saiful Islam was brutally beheaded and killed by miscreants with domestic sharp weapons in Khejurbagh Satpakhi area of South Keraniganj, Dhaka.
In this incident, the elder sister of the victim filed a murder case with the Keraniganj police station. RAB increased intelligence surveillance aimed at arresting those involved in the killings.On Monday night, the intelligence wing of the RAB headquarters and a team of RAB-10 conducted an operation in Shahbagh area of the capital to find the mastermind of the sensational Saiful murder.Seven people including mastermind Rajan Hossain (31) were arrested.
Others arrested are – Jane Alam (36), Md.Sumon alias Garda Sumon (25), Liton Hossain (26), Md.Dipu (23), Sarwar Akand (26) and Md.Sajib (29).The iron rod used in the murder, a broken cricket bat, a baton and six mobile phones were recovered.
