Youth killed over land dispute

A man named Rubel Ahmad (32) was killed in a clash between the two parties at the in-laws house while practicing on a motorcycle due to a dispute with his cousin son-in-law’s son in a market in Moulvibazar Kulaura. Rubel Pasarwarti is a resident of Manraj village of Routgaon Union and son of deceased Wahab Mia, former UP member. 4 more people from both sides were injured in this clash. Upazila at around 11 clock on Sunday night
The incident took place in Karmadha village of Karmadha union.
In this incident, Rubel brother Sohail Ahmed filed a case with the police station accusing 7 people as the plaintiff.
Police have arrested three people including two women till Monday afternoon.
Also, Rubel cousin-in-law Abdul Mannan (68) and his son Abduch Salam (40) are under police guard at Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital.

According to the police, case statement and local sources, Rubel and his cousin Dulal’s son Abul Azad had an altercation with his friend Dulal in Robirbazar of Prithimpasha Union of the upazila on Sunday. Later, Azad informed the business leaders of the market.With hope to resolve the matter, Azad returned home and informed his family. Family members including Azad’sfather Abdul Mannan and brother Salam got angry and Rube’s father-in-law Mobu Mia went to the house and started threatening. At that time Rubel’s wife Nachima Akhter, who was staying there, threatened to kill her and her child. When Rubel’s wife
Nachima informed him about the matter immediately on mobile, he went to his father-in-law’s house with his men and 4/5 more motorcycles.
As soon as they entered, Abdul Mannan and his sons Abul Azad, Abul Kalam and Abdus Salam Ganga attacked Rubel and his friend Manju with sharp weapons.
When Rubel’s companions, who were on the street, went home after hearing the screams, the two sides clashed. 4 people were seriously injured on both sides. Rubel and Manju were rescued from the scene and taken to Kulaura
Upazila Health Complex. Rubel on the way to the hospital Manju died and was referred to Sylhet Osmani Medical
