Bangladesh to face Maldives in FIFA Qualifiers

Bangladesh Football team will face Maldives Football team in the first round of FIFA Qualifiers. The Qualifiers will be held on two leg basis. If Bangladesh can beat Maldives, Bangladesh will get chance to play in the Group-I. The Group-I consists of Australia, Palestine Lebanon.
The draw ceremony of the Asian Zone of FIFA World Cup Qualifiers was held at Kuala Lumpur, the capital city of Malaysia on Thursday. The draw ceremony of the FIFA Qualifiers 2026 of the Asian Zone was held at the Headquarters of Asian Football Confederation (AFC) yesterday. Bangladesh will take on Maldives in the Asian Cup Qualifiers also.
The draw ceremony of the second round of the Asian Zone of the FIFA Qualifiers was also held at the same venue on the same day.
The qualifier teams of the first round will get tickets to play in the second round. A total of 26 teams splitting into nine groups directly play in the second round.
