Revised CSE Shariah Index from August 3

The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) has reviewed and revised its Shariah Index (CSI) on the basis of the performance of the CSE-listed companies.
The new index will be effective from August 3 next month.
Nine new companies have been included to the new list, while 10 companies were excluded from the previous list.
CSE Shariah index (CSI) is reviewed twice a year.
The new 9 companies which have been included are Apex Foods Limited, Bangladesh Building Systems Limited, Beximco Limited, Chartered Life Insurance Company Limited, GBB Power Limited, Global Islami Bank Plc, GQ Ball Pen Industries Limited, Libra Infusions Limited and Square Pharmaceuticals PLC.
On the other hand, the 10 omitted companies will be Aman Feed Limited, Bangladesh Lamps Limited, Eastern Housing Limited, Far Chemical Industries Limited, Genex Infosys Limited, Golden Harvest Agro Industries Limited, Khulna Printing & Packaging Limited, Matin Spinning Mills Plc, Ring Shine Textiles Ltd and United Power Generation & Distribution Company Limited.
In the revised CSE Shariah Index, 130 listed companies out of 373 listed securities have been selected.
These are- aamra Networks Limited, aamra Technologies Ltd., ACI Formulations Limited, Acme Pesticides Limited, ADN Telecom Limited, Advent Pharma Limited, AFC Agro Biotech Limited, Agni Systems Limited, Al-Arafah Islami Bank Ltd, Alif Industries Limited, Aman Cotton Fibrous Limited, Ambee Pharmaceuticals Limited, Anwar Galvanizing Limited, Apex Spinning & Knitting Mills, Apex Foods Limited.
Associated Oxygen Ltd., Bangas Limited, Bangladesh Building Systems Limited, Baraka Patenga Power Ltd., Bata Shoe Company (Bd) Limited, BBS Cables Limited, BDCOM Online Limited, BD. Thai Aluminium Limited, Beacon Pharmaceuticals Ltd., Beach Hatchery Ltd., Bengal Windsor Thermoplastics Limited.
