Govt trying to introduce one party rule: GM Quader

Jatiya Party (Japa) Chairman and Deputy leader of opposition in Parliament, Golam Mohammad Quader (GM Quader) on Tuesday alleged that the government is trying to introduce one party rule in the country.
He said if the government continue conducting the elections the way they are now holding the same it would bring serious consequences for the country.
“If the government can make its so called election like the Monday’s Dhaka-17 by polls then one party rule can be establish in the country,” GM Quader told the party men at Japa’s Chairman office at Banani in the capital.

“In such a circumstance, there would be only one supreme leader who will be a life-long leader. Everything of the country would be conducted as per his or her gestures,” he said.
He said, “Then everything would be as per the wish of the supreme leader of the country.”
Elections will be turned into selections. Everywhere even in trade bodies, professionals bodies, businessmen associations, lawyers, engineers, doctors, journalists and everywhere there would be only selections, no elections will be remained anywhere, he added.
