13th Zaber and Zubair Fabric Week unveils innovative, sustainable apparels

The 13th edition of Zaber and Zubair Fabric Week 2023 is bringing products like fibre and fabrics in line with new innovation and sustainability.
The 6-day fabric week is going on at its marketing office in the capital to attract local manufacturers and foreign buyers.

At this edition, they are showcasing 40 new innovations and 180 new products to international buyers and local apparel manufacturers for the autumn and winter seasons of 2024-25.
Lycra Anti x Slip, updated and upgraded versions of Sorona, Pineapple, Banana, Ecovero, Livaeco, Hemp, Bamboo and other fibres and fabrics were the new novelty variations of their innovative and sustainable product line.

On the inaugural day of the event, officials said that this season, they were showcasing fabric collections for the international market that are mostly made of eco-friendly fabrics with sustainable properties.

Talking to Dhaka Tribune, Md Quamruzzaman, CEO of Lextree, an exclusive representative of Lycra fabric brand, said that they brought Lycra Anti x Slip fibre for woven and denim products.
This fibre is a kind of spandex which will maintain garment appearance, while extending its lifespan. Moreover, it will reduce unsightly puckering that is worsened by repeated washing, he also said.
It also delivers excellent stretch and recovery and provides long-lasting comfort, fit and shape-retention, he added.
