AL even doesn’t tolerate Hero Alom: Fakhrul

Awami League (AL) is politically bankrupt even they can’t tolerate Hero Alom. When Hero Alom went to the polling centre on Monday during Dhaka-17 by-polls, he was thrown out by Awami League activists and beaten to the ground mercilessly.

Ashraful Alom (Hero Alom) took part in Dhaka-17 by-poll as an independent candidate, which held on Monday. Hero Alam came under attack by ruling party men at a polling centre in the city’s Bidyaniketan School on Monday afternoon.

Criticising Election Commission’s (EC) role, the BNP Secretary General said, those who can not give any kind of protection to Hero Alom, so there will be no election under the present EC.
“There is no election under this government and elections should be held under a neutral caretaker government during the election period,” Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said referring the incident.
BNP Secretary General also said that they (AL) consider the country as their father’s property.

“Not only our party but 36 parties together have said that we will not go to the elections under this government. It is very much clear that there will be no elections in the country if there is no neutral government during election period,” he said.

Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said, “At least 76 people have died due to dengue in the country, but the health minister is traveling abroad putting people in danger. In fact, they have no responsibility towards the people of the country.”

“We have clearly said that there will be no election under Sheikh Hasina and she must resign at this moment. Please resign without wasting time and power should be given to neutral government. A new election commission should be formed and polls won’t be held under the present EC,” he said.
A new parliament has to be formed through a new election and it should be implemented by forming a government of national unity by discussing with all the parties, Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said adding that so point one, demand one is the resignation of Sheikh Hasina.
