Youth killed by opponent in Kulaura

A young man named Hossain Ahmad Jilan (22) who was openly hacked and injured by some youths in Kulaura of Moulvibazar died in a fight to death in Sylhet Osmani Medical College Hospital on 5 days. He died while undergoing treatment recently. . Jilan Son of Abdul Hamid of Ghagtia village of Jaychandi Union of Kulaura Upazila. According to local sources, on the evening of July 3, Jilan went to town on a motorcycle to drop his younger brother on the bus. Around 6:30 pm, 6-7 youths who were hanging out at the bus stand in the city’s Dakshin Bazar started beating Jilan with native weapons due to previous enmity. Jilan got off his motorcycle and entered a shop called Ayesha Telecom in front of the bus stand to save his life. After entering the shop, the youths dragged Jilan out of the shop and publicly hacked him with sharp weapons and fled.
Later, the locals rescued him and took him to the Upazila Health Complex. The doctor on duty sent him to Sylhet Osmani Medical Hospital for treatment as his condition was critical. Jilan died on Friday night while undergoing treatment for 5 days in the hospital.
Abdul Hamid, Jilan’s father, said that he could not file any case with his son as he was in Sylhet for 5 days. Returning to Kulaura, he will file a case against those involved in the police station.
Kulaura Police Station Inspector (Investigation) Ratan Chandra Debnath said that a boy named Jilan, who was injured in an attack by opponents in Kulaura, died in Sylhet Osmani Medical College Hospital while undergoing treatment. Talked to his family.
