Srimad Bhagavad Gita Competition in Feni

Srimad Bhagavad Gita Competition was held at National Level in Feni. The closing ceremony of the two-day long competition organized by Bangladesh Puja Udjakar Parishad Feni District Branch was completed at Sri Sri Jayakali Mandir in the city on Saturday. Superintendent of Police Zakir Hasan distributed the awards as the Chief Guest. In his speech, the Superintendent of Police said that Bangladesh is now non-communal under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Which is understood by today’s participation. If we want to establish peace in the society, it is necessary to practice religion and have religious values. He urged the parents to play a role in developing the children in nation building. Kushal Baran Chakraborty, Assistant Professor of Sanskrit Department of Chittagong University spoke on various religious issues as a special guest.
In the President’s speech, the President of the District Puja Celebration Council and Sadar Upazila Parishad Chairman Shusen Chandra Sheel said that this competition has been organized as part of the central program. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has established a Gita education center. He is tolerant of people of all religions. That is why everyone is living well in the country now. No other government has contributed so much before.
Advocate Priyanjan Dutta, Vice-President of the Central Puja Celebration Committee, under the direction of District Puja Celebration Parishad General Secretary Anil Nath and Publications Secretary Suranjit Nag, also spoke on the occasion. Shanti Chowdhury, convenor of Srimad Bhagavad Gita competition, delivered the welcome speech.

Former President of District Puja Celebration Parishad Rajeev Khagesh Dutt, Advocate Bimal Sheel, Former General Secretary Advocate Sameer Kar, Shiv Prasad Majumdar, General Secretary of Jayakali Mandir Engineer Tapan Das along with leaders of Sanatan religious organizations and competitors were present.
According to the organizing sources, in this 2-day long competition, the 3rd to 7th class competition was held on Friday and the 8th to 12th class competition was held on the final day. More than three hundred contestants from 6 upazilas of the district are participating in it. 20 people were awarded in two categories in the competition. First 3 from each division will participate in total 6 divisional stage.
