5 killed Separate Accident in Tangail

At least five people including women and children were killed in three separate road accidents in Tangail on Friday afternoon. In this connection, 12 more people were also injured critically.
Three people were killed in Rabna bypass area on Dhaka-Tangail-Bangabandhu Bridge highway when a covered van coiled with a pickup on Friday afternoon. On the other hand, a woman was killed in Bangabandhu Bridge East area and a child was killed in Basail upazial of Tangail district. Among them, 4 of the dead have been identified.
The deceased were identified as Shah Alam (40) son of Hazrat Ali of Gopalpur upazila of the district, Shahan Shah (25) son of Hamid Mia of Goakra village of Kazipur upazila of Sirajganj and his wife Nurjahan (22). They were all passengers of Dhaka bound pickup van. Besides, a child killed named Farzana (3), daughter of Badal Mia of Nather Paschim Para village of Phulki Union in Basail upazila.
Atiqul Islam, Officer-in-Charge of Tangail General Hospital police box confirmed all these matters.
He said that Shahan Shah (25), sons of Hamid Mia of Goakra village of Kazipur Upazila of Sirajganj and his wife Noorjahan (22), left home for their working place, Dhaka through a pickup van from Sirajganj in afternoon.
When the pickup reached at Rabna bypass area of Dhaka-Tangail highway, a covered van coming from the same direction hit their vehicle from behind. Due to the crash, around 15 passengers of pickup were injured.
