Exemplary punishment for journalist killers deamnded

Srimangal Upazila Press Club formed a human chain on Sagardighi Road in the city on Friday and protest meeting in Srimangal of Moulvibazar protesting the killing of journalist Golam Rabbani Nadeem, Jamalpur District correspondent of BanglaNews 24.com and Bakshiganj Upazila News Collector of ‘Ekattar TV’ and demand exemplary trial of the killers.
Srimangal Upazila Press Club General Secretary Bikul Chakraborty, Joint General Secretary Sanjay Kumar Dey, member Shafiqul Islam Rumman and others spoke at the human chain and protest meeting . Other members of the Press Club were also present there.
The speakers in the protest meeting said that a class of people behaves inhumanely to the journalists only by highlighting the disharmony of the society.
Journalists are often subjected to cases, attacks, torture and murder in the country. A few days ago, journalist Gholam Rabbani Nadeem was killed due to a news story. They demand exemplary punishment for those involved in this murder.
Besides, the speakers demanded that the families of the journalists who were victims of murders, lawsuits and attacks at different times across the country should get justice.
