Over 2,067 tonnes of VGF rice being distributed in C’nawabganj

BSS, Chapainawabganj :

The government is distributing 2,067.93 metric tons of rice to 2,06,793 poor families in the district as a gift from Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina under the Vulnerable Group Feeding (VGF) programme to assist them celebrate the Eid-ul-Azha festivity.

“Distribution of the VGF rice under the Disaster Management Department to selected card holder beneficiary families with 10 kgs of rice each continues smoothly and will complete before the Eid-ul-Azha festivity across the district,” said Additional deputy commissioner (general) of Chapainawabganj Ahmed Mahbub-ul-Islam.
On the occasion, Bholahat Upazila Parishad organised a distribution function at Bholahat sadar union parishad on Monday.
