3 held over rape attempt in Mymensingh

A bus driver and his two assistants have been arrested for attempting to rape a woman on a moving bus in Mymensingh.
The arrestees have been identified as Rakib Hossain, Arif Hossain and Andanda Das.
Officer-in-charge (OC) of Bhaluka Model Police Station Kamal Hossain confirmed the matter to the media saying that the victim garment worker was returning home on a bus after finishing work around 9:30pm on Friday (June 17).

At one point, all passengers got off from the vehicle at their respective destinations. Later, the driver along with his assistant tried to rape the girl on the bus. The girl managed to jump out of the moving bus in the area, sustaining serious injuries in the process.
The victim was taken to a local clinic first and then shifted to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital, OC said.
OC Kamal Hossain also said that a case is being filed in this incident.
