Siblings died tragically in Bhairab

A. 13 years – old boy named Nirab Molla died after drowning in a pond, while hearing the news his elder sister Naja Begum (18) fell from the roof of the house and died in Bhairab port town of Kishoreganj.
The incident took place at Molla Bari area of Chandib in Bhairab town on Monday before evening. Naja Begum and Nirab are the children of Bachir Mullah .
Around 6 pm on Monday, the Nirab Mollah went to play football with his friends in a quiet neighborhood field and at one point in the game the football fell into the pond. The boy droconed while lifting it from the water. Some of his classmates rescued him from the water and rushed him to the hospital where on duty doctors declared him dead.
The elder sister Naja Begum fell from the second floor of her house after hearing the news of her younger brother’s death. Relatives rushed him to the hospital and referred her to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) after first aid. However, Naja Begum also died after going to Rupganj area of Narayanganj on the way to Dhaka in an ambulance.
Nirab’s uncle Nashir Molla said, “My nephew drowned in water.” On hearing this news, the niece fell from the roof of the second floor. What happened at the hospital is tragic.
The Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer ( UHFPO) dr. Bulbul Ahmed said, the incident was sad. Doctors cannot revive a dead patient.
