Dipu Moni opens Tech & Vocational Education Week

Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni on Wednesday inaugurated Technical and Vocational Education Week-2023 at the International Mother Language Institute in the city.
“The government is trying to make technical education affordable and attractive to students to make them suitable for the job market. At least one technical education institute is being established in every upazila of the country,” she said.

The government is moving forward with effective plans and programs for the expansion of technical education, she said, adding that as a result, the number of women students has increased significantly, reports BSS.
Highlighting the need for technical and vocational education for the common people of the country and its role in the overall socio-economic development, Dipu said “The government is working to strengthen effective coordination among the government, private and foreign organizations working closely on this sector.”
