Major overhaul in police hierarchy

In a major reshuffle in the police force, seven deputy inspector general (DIG) and 22 superintendent of police (SP) have been transferred.
Among them are seven Deputy Inspector General (DIG) and 22 Superintendent of Police (SP) rank officers.
The transfer of these officers was announced in three separate notifications signed by Sirajam Munira, Deputy Secretary, Public Security Department, Ministry of Home Affairs, under the order of the President on Tuesday.
It was announced that Rangpur Metropolitan Police Commissioner Nur Alam has been appointed DIG of Chittagong Range, DIG of Chittagong Range Anwar Hossain is the DIG of Police Department in Dhaka, DIG of Anti-Terrorism Unit. Moniruzzaman as RMP Police Commissioner, Industrial Area Police DIG Sheikh Mohammad Rezaul Haider as Director of Central Police Hospital (DIG rank) Rajarbagh, Special Branch of Police (SB) DIG Mohammad Abul Fayez as Industrial Area Police DIG, Dhaka Central Police Hospital Director Saleh Mohammad Tanveer as DIG of Special Branch of Police and Industrial Area Police DIG Jihadul Kabir has been transferred as DIG of Mass Rapid Transit (Metrorail).

Besides, 22 Superintendent of Police (SP) rank officers in different division, districts as well as department have been also transferred .
Narsingdi District Police Superintendent Kazi Ashraful Azim has been appointed Deputy Commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), Naogaon Police Superintendent Muhammad Rashidul Haque as Tourist Police Superintendent, Chandpur Police Superintendent Md. Milon Mahmud has been appointed Superintendent of Police, Gopalganj Superintendent of Police Ayesha Siddika as Superintendent of Police of SB, Munshiganj Superintendent of Police Mohammad Mahfuzur Rahman Al Mamun as Superintendent of Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI), Superintendent of Police of Kushtia. Khairul Alam has been appointed Superintendent of Police of Highway Range, Superintendent of Police of Khulna Mohammad Mahbub Hasan as Deputy Commissioner of DMP, Superintendent of Police of Shariatpur. Saiful Haque, Superintendent of Police of industrial area (Shilpanchal) Police, Superintendent of Police of Inservice Training Center of Madaripur. Shafiqul Islam has been transferred to the post of Superintendent of Police of Metrorail, Nilphamari Superintendent of Police Mohammad Mostafizur Rahman in Narsingdi, Deputy Commissioner of DMP. Golam Sabur in Nilphamari, Police Superintendent of Sherpur. Kamruzzaman to Naogaon, Superintendent of Police Monalisa Begum of SB Dhaka to Sherpur,

Superintendent of Police of Bhola Mohammad Saiful Islam to Chandpur, Deputy Commissioner of DMP Al Beli Afifa to Gopalganj, Superintendent of Police of Anti-Terrorism Unit Mohammad Aslam Khan to Munshiganj, Superintendent of Police of Chapainawabganj AHM Abdur Rakib to Kushtia, Superintendent of Police of Directorate of Police Md. Shaidul Hasan in Chapainawabganj, Superintendent of Police of Pirojpur Mohammad Saidur Rahman in Khulna, Superintendent of Police of Special Security and Protection Battalion-1 (SPBN) Dhaka. Shafiur Rahman in Pirojpur, Superintendent of Police of Anti-Terrorism Unit Dhaka Md. Mahiduzzaman in Bhola and Madaripur Region Highway Police Superintendent Md.
