1 lakh 24 thousand traffickers in prison in a year

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said that 1 lakh 24 thousand 775 people were sent to jail in drug cases last year. He said that the prime minister has declared zero tolerance against drugs in order to protect the youth of the country from Yaba and other drugs.
All law enforcement agencies, including the Narcotics Directorate, are working tirelessly to implement her announcement.
The Home Minister gave this information in response to a question from Jatiya Party MP Mujibul Haque Chunnu in the Jatiya Sangsad on Tuesday (June 13).
