Elderly man dies after being hit by bus in Lohagara

Lohagara (Chittagong) Representative :
An elderly pedestrian was killed by a passenger bus in front of Lohagara Shahpir filling station on the Chittagong-Cox’s Bazar highway.
On June 8 (Thursday) evening, a passenger bus bound for Cox’s Bazar was knocked down while crossing the road. Locals rescued him and took him to Lohagara Upazila Health Complex, the doctor on duty declared him dead.
Khan Muhammad Erfan, OC of Dohazari Highway Police Station, said that the identity of the body has not been found yet. After the body is identified, it will be handed over to the family after the legal process. It was not possible to arrest the killer because the bus had fled.
