Death of 2 siblings, Pest Control Company Chairman, MD remanded

A Dhaka court yesterday granted a three-day remand to question the Chairman and Managing Director of the Pest Control Company in connection with the death of two children in Bashundhara residential area of the capital.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mahbub Ahmed passed the order on Thursday. The two accused are Ashrafuzzaman, Chairman of the company, and Farhadul Amin, Managing Director (MD).

Earlier, Bhatara Police Station Sub-Inspector Rafiqul Islam produced the accused in the court seeking 10 days remand.

It was learnt that the parents of Shayan and Shahir called in the pest control workers of DCS Company Limited at their Basundhara residence to kill cockroaches on Friday (June 2).

After spraying inside the house, the workers told the parents of Shayan and Shahir not to enter the residence for six hours. Then they would have to live washing the entire residence.
