Shahadat Hossain begins practice with BD Test squad

Shahadat Hossain began his formal practice with Bangladesh Test Cricket squad at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in the city’s Mirpur on Monday.
Shahadat Hossain was called in the 15-member Bangladesh Test Cricket squad on Sunday last.
Shahadat Hossain was praised by the coaching staff and his teammates of Bangladesh Cricket squad for his accurate batting technique and temperament. It is expected that youngster Shahadat Hossain will be included in the Bangladesh team squad. His dream is to be a member of Bangladesh Test squad was fulfilled on Sunday last.
Shahadat took part in the warm-up, fielding and batting practice at the ‘Home of Cricket’ yesterday.
After his practice session, Shahadat Hossain spoke to the journalists on Monday.
Shahadat Hossain said, ” Everybody encouraged me. I am pleased. Every cricketer has a dream to play for National Cricket team. I have got chance to do that. I was included in the Bangladesh Test squad. My dream is to play for Bangladesh team. I am very happy that there is an opportunity for me to play for the National team. I shall try my level best to develop my performance day by day.”
Shahadat said, ” I played Bangladesh A team against West Indies A team in the three-match unofficial Test series. I was very much attentive in those games.”
Hossain said, ” If I get chance to play in the upcoming lone Test match against Afghanistan, I shall try to perform my level best.”
He said, ” I lost my father when I was a child. In that time I could not understand of the pain of losing my father. My elder brother has given a support to be a cricketer.”
” Most of my playmates and cricket critics say that my skill is up to the mark. But I think I have to develop my mental strength to play in international cricket matches. I shall try to develop my skill day by day. I shall also try to increase my mental strength. If I can do those matters perfectly, it will be easier for me to get chance in the main squad and perform well for our National team,” he added.
