‘Mayor Cup’ Divn Football League inaugurated

The ‘Mayor Cup’ Mymensingh Second Division Football League 2022-2023 was inaugurated by Mymensingh District Football Association in collaboration with Mymensingh City Corporation. On this occasion, Mymensingh City Corporation Mayor Md. Ekramul Haque Titu was present as the chief guest at the opening ceremony organized at Rafiquddin Bhuiyan Stadium on Tuesday.
In his speech the mayor said that the honorable prime minister is working sincerely for the improvement of sports.
He also took the initiative to build a stadium at the upazila level. Expanded the path of player creation by organizing various tournaments from the initial stage. He also said that Mymensingh is the cradle of sports. Men and women players from Mymensingh are playing nationally and internationally with repute. Mymensingh City Corporation will continue to be as it has been in the past in the development of sports field in Mymensingh. 12 teams of Mymensingh division are participating in this football league. The league was inaugurated by Mymensingh District Awami League President and District Sports Association General Secretary Ehteshamul Alam. Md. Shariful Islam Sharif, convener of this league and councilor of Ward No. 03 of
Mymensingh City Corporation gave the welcome speech.
President of District Football Association Prof. AKM Delwar Hossain Mukul presided over the event, Chief Executive Officer of Mymensingh City Corporation Md. Yusuf Ali, prominent businessman and sports organizer Khandaker Mahbub Alam, Councilor of City Corporation and officials of various levels, journalists and others were present.
